On June 12th, at Del Álamo Family Vineyards , we celebrated with great enthusiasm our first wine tasting of 2025. It was an unforgettable day that brought together a select group of people interested in learning about the history, philosophy , and winemaking processes of our family winery.
During the day, attendees were given a guided tour of our facilities, led by Emilio Cuéllar, CEO of Del Álamo Family Vineyards. This tour explained the stages and processes of our sustainable wine production model, from the ecological treatment of the vineyard to the final winemaking process at the winery, where, thanks to the renewable energy generated by our photovoltaic system , we are able to reduce our environmental impact even during winemaking and storage.
Del Álamo Family Vineyards produces organic and vegan wines . We are committed to environmentally friendly viticulture to create modern, authentic wines with a strong family foundation.
After the guided tour of the facilities, attendees were able to enjoy a tasting of several of our wines, including whites and reds with their own unique personality. The following wines were tasted:
- Mencáliz Blanco : an organic and vegan Verdejo made with selected grapes. It presents light aging notes that add complexity. With 12% vol., it is a medium-structured, balanced, and elegant wine.
- Mencáliz Tinto : a vegan blend of Syrah, Marselán, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Garnacha, aged in French oak barrels . With a 14% vol., this complex red wine stands out for its aromatic intensity, round body, and lingering finish.
- Out of the Box Blanco An organic and vegan wine made from a unique combination of Airén, Macabeo, Verdejo, and Moscatel. With an 11% vol., it stands out for its fruity, fresh, and light profile. Its light-medium structure makes it an easy choice to enjoy .
- Out of the Box Tinto : wine Organic and vegan Garnacha Tintorera and Merlot , with 13% vol. It is a red wine with a friendly character and a light-medium structure, designed to stand out from the ordinary and surprise.
- José del Álamo Blanco: Vegan wine made with Airén from old, bush-ripened vines. Its aging in French oak barrels provides toasted notes, volume, and aromatic complexity. With a complex structure, this is a sophisticated white.
- José del Álamo Tinto: wine 100% vegan Garnacha Tintorera from old vines , aged in French oak barrels to enhance its depth and elegance. This is a complex, serious, and structured red wine , ideal for pairing with more intense dishes.
- BeHappy Blanco : This organic and vegan wine, made with Muscat, stands out for its low alcohol content (5.5% vol.) and its cheerful, carefree character. With a light bubble, it's a fruity, slightly sweet, and very easy-drinking wine , ideal for informal gatherings and aperitifs. A fresh, original option designed to be enjoyed without complications.
Each wine was paired with a tapa specifically designed to enhance its qualities, achieving perfect harmony on the palate.
It was a perfect opportunity to unwind, share experiences, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by wine.
All attendees understood the passion, emotion and work behind each wine from Del Álamo Family Vineyards, which Emilio summed up with the phrase “ our passion is to share who we are through each bottle .”
